- I was born in Memphis, TN, and have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting from the University of Memphis. Though I work with the written word by day, the rest of the time I can be found painting and drawing in my studio, though I'm also known to sketch, read, crochet, run, make lists and drive across the country.
