Public Artist's Loft
I've seen Michelle Oka Doner's work a lot while researching different types of public art projects: terrazzo, floors, airports, etc. What a treat to see her home featured in one of my favorite design blogs, sfgirlbybay - check it out here!

Paint Made Flesh at the Frist - It was a great show! I love the Frist! But you are not allowed to take pictures so I had to buy the book.
But I did take some notes, and made a sketch in the medieval exhibit.

Creative Time Visits Memphis
Last week some folks from Creative Time came to Memphis in an RV towing a bombed-out car from Iraq. With them were an Iraqi War veteran and an Iraqi immigrant, and people came up and had conversations with them about Iraq, which perfectly fit the title, It is What it Is: Conversations about Iraq.
